The place is cozy and the service ok. Food is delicious but the type of rice they serve could’ve been better. The ice cream on their banana split is just mediocre. But over all it was a good experience in this place.
The food was delicious! I chose a spicy Thai dish with stir-fried pork and vegetables. My girlfriend chose the vegetarian dish. We got a very large bowl of white rice as well. Our drink was a jug of water with lemon for 1 €. The service was very professional and also very friendly. The best Thai of Leiden! Highly recommended.
Lovely ambiance and simply delicious food. Although, i do have a bone to pick, its my 2nd time here, first time when i requested a wifi password they refused. This time, however, they did produce some weird looking password which I was unable ro decipher. When I requested that they fill it in then a waitress, frowned while filling it on my phone, and said something in Dutch or Thai, when I asked what did you say? she acted v dismissive. First time in leiden I've come across such unfriendly reaction. Plus they didnt serve me complimentary fish crisps :( I've been in this city almost 2 months. So far, its been a v warm experience wherever I went. This was a first and i do hope it's the last! Customer service! this lady needs to work on it! really! I don't think I'll be going back anytime sooner!
very tasty, really recommend this place - a bit pricy but if you share a dish (with rice) it’s ok, portions are big enough to share; had beef with thai basil, papaya salad
Friendly staff.
Nice ambiance.
Great food! (Plenty of meat in our dishes too)
Fair price. Great value for money!
For the spicy lovers, you can get some food with a real bite 🔥
We even got extra rice to take back in our doggy bag so we could fully enjoy the food another day.
I dont want to be too critical since the food was nice but the pricing on some dishes is unreasonable especially compared to other restaurants. Also there are no homemade drinks. The drinks we were served come out of a can. If you take such high prices you need to also serve homemade drinks.
Used to be a loyal customer, but unfortunately now the quality of the food does not justify the HUGE increase in price. Before a beef dish would cost 18.5€ which is the average pricing for Thai dishes in the Netherlands. Now it’s costing 29.5€. Which is a 59% increase! Even higher than the current inflation. Prices are very disproportionate, despite the food being good (however nothing that would explain such increase). Sadly the service was also too rushed and as soon as we finished they wanted to take everything off the table. It’s very disappointing. Off we go to your competitors in Leiden who still offer great food for normal pricing…
Having lived in the San Francisco bay area for more than a decade, I'm familiar with good Thai cuisine for the world market.
Having also lived in places like Boston, I know what bad Thai food tastes like.
I was surprised by the quality here. The dishes were fresh, appealingly presented, and used good quality ingredients. Taste was excellent and not cloyingly sweet the way (bad) Thai restaurants can be.
My only complaint is that the default spice level is fairly low... But I assume that reflects the preferences of the area. If you like something hotter be sure to request it.
Wait stay were friendly and the atmosphere is cozy. Prices are reasonable: Three dishes, three alcoholic drinks for about 60 Euros.
